An experience sharing meeting was held at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in New Delhi with the delegates from India to the biggest youth event “World Festival of Youth and Students” which was held in Sochi Russia from 14-22 October 2017.

Delegates expressed their happiness and wonderful experiences in Russia. They were amazed with the hospitality and warm welcome received not only in Sochi but also in the 15 other cities of Russia where Regional Program of the Festival took place for first three days which included Educational programs, Excursions, Brain storming sessions, workshops, networking sessions and lots of fun.

It was a big achievement for BRICS Forum that 62 delegates were selected to take part in the regional programs from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok.1500 participants from all over the world participated in regional programs out of that 4% were from India.

The biggest youth event started on 14th October with a Youth and Students parade help in Moscow. It was cold and rainy day, but it could not stop the steps of Muscovite and young participants from Parade and carnival. Ambitions, aspirations, courage created new energy floated from Moscow to Sochi and created “One Planet” at Sochi.

The opening ceremony of the festival took place on October 15 with a concert where President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin addressed and welcomed the participants. The festival had very diverse and simultaneous going on events which included conferences, discussions, workshops, competitions, sports, concerts and much more where world was united and under one roof to thing about bringing a change. Everyone was so deeply engaged with the programs leaving behind all differences, barriers of languages and respectful learned the culture of fellow participants.

The memorandum on cooperation was signed between Mr. Grigory Petushkov, Chairperson of National Youth Council of Russia and Ms. Purnima Anand, president of BRICS International Forum on 18th October, 2017 at Media Centre, Olympic Park, Sochi. It was a gift to Indian participants from Russia on the auspicious day of Diwali. Indian delegation and participants from all over the world celebrated Diwali at Media Park in Sochi.

3rd BRICS & SCO Youth Forum took place on the October 19 where delegates and expressed discussed the role of youth in developing cooperation among BRICS and SCO countries at people-to-people level in the fields of Entrepreneurship, Education, Media, Sports and Culture.
