 India-Russia Friendship Painting Exhibition will take place in New Delhi (India), at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) from Tuesday, September 26th, 2017 to Monday, October 09th, 2017. The event is organized on the initiative of the BRICS International Forum (India) with the support of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA – Eurasia Division), Government of India, Embassy of the Russian Federation in India, the representative office of ROSSOTRUDNICHESTOVO in India and International Federation of Indo-Russian Youth Clubs.

The Exhibition is being organized under the series of public programs to celebrate the 70th year of the establishment of Indo-Russian diplomatic relations under the framework of the project “ArtBRICS”.

The key objective of the exhibition is to showcase the paintings of Indian and Russian artists together. The main idea behind the joint exhibitions is to encourage the Indian and Russian artists for joint efforts in developing art projects. It also focuses to display Indo-Russian culture, friendship and cooperation through paintings.

The exhibition will be organized in two categories:

  • Onsite Exhibition: Paintings will be displayed at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, 24 Firoz Shah Road, New Delhi.
  • Virtual Exhibition: Paintings will be screened at Russian Centre of Science and Culture in New Delhi for the visitors.

About Organizers:

The Ministry of External Affairs of India (MEA), also known as the Foreign Ministry, is the government agency responsible for the conduct of foreign relations of India.

Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India established in 1947 to serve as diplomatic mission between India and Russia.

The Russian Centre of Science and Culture, representative office of ROSSOTRUDNICHESTOVO in India (Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation).

The International Federation of Indo-Russian Youth Clubs (IFIRYC) is a pioneer organisation for Indo-Russian youth exchange programmes, providing exposure to Indian and Russian Youth with the culture of respective countries.

The BRICS International Forum (BRICS-IF) is a socio, economic, political centre working amongst BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) with a goal to initiate people-to-people dialogue. BRICS-IF has been formed to cater, mobilize and carry forward the agenda, policies and decisions made by the heads of states at the annual BRICS summits and aims to encourage and strengthen multilateral cooperation within BRICS and beyond.

  • Amateur Artists
  • Students

Terms & Conditions for Virtual Exhibition:

  • The painting must be an original work of the artist.
  • Only 5 paintings from each participant will be accepted.
  • Best paintings selected by the jury will be displayed at the exhibition.
  • Upload photographs of the painting along with title and description.
  • Last date for application by September 15, 2017.

Terms & Conditions for Onsite Exhibition:

  • The painting must be an original work of the artist.
  • Only 5 paintings from each participant will be accepted.
  • Best paintings selected by the jury will be displayed at the exhibition.
  • Upload photographs of the painting along with title and description.
  • All the paintings must be framed in good quality.
  • Size of the paintings should be 24” x 24” or 24” x 36”
  • Organizers will not be responsible for any damage of the painting during courier.
  • All the selected original paintings for the exhibition should be submitted by September 20, 2017.
  • One should send their paintings by courier or registered post on their own risk.
  • After the exhibition collect your paintings from the exhibition place within 2 days, otherwise organisation will not be responsible of your paintings.
  • Courier charges will be paid by the artists only.
