The II Russian-Indian Youth Forum started in the Altai State Pedagogical University.
The forum is a continuation of bilateral Russian-Indian youth meetings and will last three days – from November 27 to 30. The event is held within the framework of the program for the development of student associations with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Russian student center Rosstudenstvo and the Russian Youth Union.
A delegation from India and Moscow arrived in Barnaul. A sightseeing tour around the city was organized for the guests. In the evening, the first meeting took place, at which the main vectors of work at the forum were discussed. The meeting was attended by: Tatyana Seliverstova, Deputy Chairman of the All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Union of Youth”; Alexey Yezhov, Director of the Center for International Programs of the RUY; Shalini Bahuguna, Assistant Professor, Specialist in Legal Disciplines (India). Representatives of the RUY spoke about projects that will be implemented in 2018.
The parties noted that in all submitted projects there are points of convergence of interests of the youth of Russia and Asian countries, including China, with which the university has already formed close partnership relations, and India as a promising partner. The key projects of the RUY in 2018 will be the School of Public Diplomacy, a project to create international youth business incubators in ten Russian cities and “100 leaders of China” – a project in which AltSPU has already taken part. The meeting participants concluded that all three areas of work contain a great potential for cooperation between the RUY and the AltSpU and the promotion of university interests in India and other BRICS countries.
On November 28, the grand opening of the Forum, a Memorandum of Cooperation will be signed and active work will begin.
