Today in Alt-SPU grand opening of the II Russian-Indian Youth Forum took place. In the II Russian-Indian Youth Forum, more than 350 representatives of the youth of Russia and India at the age of 18 to 35 years of different activities will take part. The program of the forum includes work in three areas: cultural cooperation, youth tourism and entrepreneurship. The forum will form a general strategy for cooperation in these three areas.
The participants of the forum were greeted by the Rector of the University Irina Rudolfovna Lazarenko. “This year our countries celebrate 70 years from the moment of establishment of diplomatic relations. There is an increase in trade turnover between Russia and India and expansion of cultural exchange.The following year is designated as a cross-year tourism of Russia and India. In this context our forum acquires particular urgency” , – said the rector of the university.
With welcoming words, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Altai Territory, Andrei Evgenievich Shchukin, addressed the audience. He wished the participants “to develop horizontal links on all the sectors identified in the tasks of the forum.”
Denoting already existing areas of cooperation in the field of education between Indian universities and higher educational institutions of the Altai Territory, the Minister of Education and Science of the Altai Territory Alexander Zhidkikh wished the participants of the forum successful work.
The Russian Youth Union is the outpost through which the establishment of connections between the youth of Russia and the community of the BRICS countries, which includes India, is also taking place. “Youth organization” BRICS International Form was established with the assistance of RUY in 2015 at the Russian-Indian forum. I am sure that the Forum in the Altai State Pedagogical University will be another starting point in expanding the relationship between Russia and India, “said Tatyana Seliverstova, deputy chairman of the All-Russian Public Organization” Russian Union of Youth “(Moscow).
