On November 29, the closing ceremony of the II Russian-Indian Youth Forum was held in AltSPU. The result of three days, full of acquaintances and meetings, bilateral talks, dialogue platforms and excursions, was a vivid and spectacular closing of the forum. Satisfaction from the work done at the forum, confidence in the further development of relations was expressed by the pro-rector for the educational work of our university, Ekaterina Viktorovna Cetoshnikova, and the director for international cooperation of the BRICS International Forum , Mohammad Akil.
With words of gratitude addressed to the organizers of the forum, the vice-president of the Russian Youth Union Tatyana I. Seliversova addressed: “On behalf of the largest youth organization, the Russian Youth Union, I congratulate everyone on the closure of the second Russian-Indian forum. We went very long to this event. Our Indian partners were preparing to gather their delegation and send them here to the Altai. This forum laid an excellent beginning for the future of Russian-Indian relations in their interregional dimension. I am sure that the Altai State University, in particular, will host more than one Indian delegation – students, young entrepreneurs, people who will come and establish cultural and humanitarian cooperation. I call on all active young people to preserve and multiply the traditions of 70-year friendship between our countries. ”
Folk dances, songs in the language of international communication and two tricolors became symbols of unity at the closing of the forum. On the stage, thanks to the students of Altai universities – AltSPU and Altstu State Technical University named after I. I. Polzunova, as well as creative teams of Barnaul, merged two national colors – Indian and Russian. This merger marked the beginning of a long and long path of friendship between the two states in the field of education and youth policy.
