The BRICS+ Forum and the SRO "Union of Women of Russia" signed a memorandum

The International Forum of BRICS+ Countries and the SRO organization "Union of Women of Russia" signed a memorandum of cooperation. The signing ceremony took place on June 1, before the beginning of the II International Women's Forum "Strong Family - the Foundation of the State" in Yekaterinburg.

The agreement was signed by the chairperson of the Sverdlovsk branch of the Union of Women of Russia Irina Chemezova and the president of the International Forum of BRICS+ countries Purnima Anand.

"I am glad to welcome everyone to such a significant event for all women of Russia and the Sverdlovsk region. This year, Purnima Anand was able to fly to us personally, we are very happy," said Irina Chemezova.

Irina Chemezova noted that the goal of the forum “A Strong Family is the Foundation of the State” is to unite the efforts of women in the social sphere, healthcare, medicine, and the development of science and education.

She also expressed hope for good results in the interaction between the two countries, for developments to further strengthen the social influence of women and increase their role in public and political life, the Sverdlovsk Department of Information Policy reported.

"Women's associations are very important in our turbulent times, they play a major role on the path to sustainable development. After the Second World War, the role of women, including Soviet women, in uniting efforts was great. In our time, this role will again come to the fore. Russian women do a lot to support India, African and Asian countries. Therefore, it is important to sign an agreement between us and the Sverdlovsk regional association of the Union of Women of Russia," Purnima Anand emphasized.

As reported earlier, at the opening of the forum in Yekaterinburg, the head of the region, Yevgeny Kuyvashev, emphasized that traditional family values unite Russian society and bring the Russian Federation closer to friendly countries that share these values. About 4 thousand people from 16 countries are participating in the forum.
